welcome to the blog
Hello, I’m Fran (she/her), ND therapist and coach based in the UK.
I focus on supporting ND folx to process their unique ND experiences and profiles, make friends with their brain and nervous system, and begin to identify and lean into their strengths.
All of this whilst holding space and compassion for our challenges, living, working, studying or simply navigating a world not designed for our needs and the accompanying hard stuff like shame, internalised ableism and burnout.
Just like in therapy or coaching; contracting, boundaries, consent and autonomy are important to develop a safe and trusting space. I want to begin this blog by doing the same with you. This can also help me to focus and ground my writing in purpose.
I’m a BIG verbal processor which means I need to get my thoughts out of my head to process and make sense of them. Often this is out loud but writing and journaling helps a great deal too.
I want this blog to be a space for me to share my thoughts, experiences, learning and to develop a collection of helpful resources.
I hope you will find this content relevant, thought provoking or perhaps even comforting.
You may have found this blog whilst looking for therapy or coaching yourself, as a student, a fellow therapist or simply on the search for information about Neurodivergence whether you are questioning, self-identified or diagnosed.
What connects us here is a desire to learn and explore more about Neurodivergence.
I will share the voice of my own lived experience and sometimes that of other ND folx, about the things that impact you, me, and the wider ND community.
I want this space to be authentic; easy to digest and accessible.
Let’s view the posts as snacks, meals, or banquets. There will be something for you to engage in whatever your appetite and level of energy (spoons).
There is of course space for this to evolve as I go along.
I want to acknowledge that there might be uncomfortable / triggering topics covered, you may not always agree with some of the things I share and that is ok.
I hope you feel at home here and if you don’t, please feel free to find another space that feels more aligned with your needs, values and opinions.
Either way hope you learn something about yourself and the ND community from my posts, I’m sure I will be learning a lot about myself through this process too.
Take care.
Fran
